School Garden Projects

Bemboka Public School has been establishing their school garden with Bournda EEC staff member Dan Bakker.

This term Dan will continue to visit the school with activities to enhance their school garden.

Enrichment Programs

A range of day programs are being offered to schools in Term 3 to send a small and selected number of Stage 2 or Stage 3 students who show skill and interest in a particular area.

Programs in the area of HSIE, Geography, Numeracy, Literacy, Science, Leadership and Fitness have been developed to engage and challenge the students attending.

African elephants are on topic for the Sustainability Video Conference Festival

Sustainability Video Conference Festival

Over the course of this festival, Bournda EEC will be hosting a number of video conferences with students in schools across the state. In collaboration with other agencies staff will engage in subjects covering elephants in Africa, the Yellow Bellied Glider Project, Litter and Waste, and the Atlas of Life in the Coastal Wilderness Project.

Science Week

16-24 August 2014

Bournda EEC is a partner in the South Coast Regional Science Hub and during Science Week Bournda EEC is hosting the Launch Event on Saturday 16 August 1pm-6:45pm at the Centre.

A range of activities are planned including Aboriginal heritage, Fungi, Photography, Biodiversity, Fish and Climate Watch and much more.
